IPL match-fixing charges, expulsion 5
Five Indian cricketers were expelled for the match-fixing in
the Indian Premier League. Indian Cricket Board on Tuesday said this decision
was made by the BCCI. There were a number of complaints, including 'no-ball' in
exchange for money against expatriates.
These externally expelled players are TP Sudhindra, Salav
Shrivastava, Manish Mishra, Amit Yadav and Fanny Ballie. There are some video
footage of the Indian television channel, which shows that these players have
agreed to match the matches in the regional game or agreed to negotiate with
the other Indian Premier League contract, which is not legal during the
tournament.
Journalists of the TV channel communicate with the players
of a sports agency agent and offer payment for the planned behavior in a particular
time of the match. The channel showed Deccan chargers player Salav Shrivastava
did a no-ball in a regional Twenty20 game, which was pre-planned. Of course,
Srivastava denied this allegation and said that the TV channel will do the case
against him.
In the footage captured in the hidden video cameras, it is
also seen that some players have been tempted to pay IFL teams extra money for
the specified limit. And the players want to get this money in an undeclared
way. The mixed pair of Pune Warriors and Yadav of Kings XI Punjab have
apparently got to agree with the other team during the IPL. Although Delhi
player Bali is not in the IPL, the video footage has claimed that such a
compromise is common during the game. These activities are illegal according to
the rules of the IPL tournament.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already
taken the responsibility of investigating the incident. He is the former chief
of ICC or International Cricket Council's Anti-Corruption Unit. Saini will investigate
whether the players are actually involved in illegal activities or have done
anything against BCCI's interests.
It should be noted that, earlier, the British newspaper 'The
News of the World' presented similar news. At that time, three players from
Pakistan had to go to jail because they were accused of deliberately 'no-ball'
in the game against England.
